Custom Printed Sandwich Wrap Paper
Sandwich wrap paper closes around a sub, a bagel or a loaf and keeps it together until it is unwrapped. Yours prints with your logo on the outside face, proofed free before the first run.
What Are Sandwich Wrap Paper?
Sandwich wrap paper is a large deli sheet, usually 12 x 15 or 15 x 15, that rolls or folds around a sandwich and seals with a tuck or a label. It is printed on the outside only, so bread and fillings touch plain paper. Delis, sub shops, bagel stores and bakeries use it at the counter and for boxed catering.

Sandwich Wrap Paper Sizes
Standard sizes carry no cutting charge. Any other size is quoted on request; the deli paper size chart lists what each one wraps.
Sandwich wrap paper for subs, bagels and loaves
A sandwich is the one order that gets carried, set down, and opened later. The wrap has to survive a commute in a bag, a desk drawer, or a catering tray stacked three high.
Delis, sub shops, bagel counters and bakeries are the main buyers. Coffee bars that sell a breakfast sandwich and barbecue places that do a pulled pork roll use the same sheet.
The two photos show a red line-art bakery repeat on white closed with a label strip, and a black sheet with tan line art under an open sub. Both are sample prints and show how much pattern survives once the paper is wrapped.
How much paper does a footlong sub need?
A six-inch sub on a soft roll wraps in 12 x 12 with the roll laid diagonally and the ends twisted. It is tight, so most sub shops skip straight to the next size.
12 x 15 is the everyday sandwich sheet. It rolls a six-inch with room to spare, folds a bagel sandwich or a thick club, and lines a catering box with the edges turned up.
15 x 15 wraps a footlong cut in half and laid side by side, a whole round loaf as in the photo, or an overstuffed hoagie that would split a smaller sheet.
| Sandwich | Sheet | Wrap style |
|---|---|---|
| Bagel, breakfast muffin, slider | 12 x 12 | Diagonal fold, tuck under |
| Six-inch sub, club, melt | 12 x 15 | Roll from a corner, twist or tuck the ends |
| Footlong halves, round loaf, overstuffed hoagie | 15 x 15 | Half fold or full roll with a label strip |
| Catering boxes, oversized rolls | Custom | Quoted from your box or roll measurements |
If your menu runs mostly one size, order that sheet and keep a smaller stock of 15 x 15 for the specials. The deli paper size comparison guide works through this with measurements.
Which stock suits a cold cut sub versus a hot melt?
Cold cuts, tuna, egg salad and bagels with cream cheese belong on dry wax. It has a soft hand, it does not stick to mayo or soft cheese, and a sandwich wrapped in it stays moist through a lunch rush in the case.
Hot melts, cheesesteaks, meatball subs and anything with a sauce need grease-resistant stock. It hides the grease spot where a hot filling meets the paper and holds a firmer crease on the roll.
Natural kraft gives a deli counter look with a one-color print. Black with white ink, or the tan line art in the second photo, suits a higher-end sandwich bar and hides marks better than any other stock.
Keep dry wax for cold and warm holds; it is not an oven or microwave paper. If a sandwich is pressed or toasted, wrap it after it comes off the press, not before.
Line art and wordmarks on a sandwich sheet
Sandwich wrap shows more flat paper than a burger wrap, so finer artwork can work. The bakery line art in the first photo is a good example: thin but not hairline, with clear gaps between the shapes.
A repeat pattern is still the default, because the sheet is rolled and whichever face ends up on top should carry your name. A small wordmark repeated every few inches reads well in a hand.
Spot colors print on every stock. Full color is for white stocks only. On black, white ink is the standard choice, and the tan line art in the second photo shows how a light ink reads on it.
Send a vector PDF, AI or EPS when you have one. A photo of your shop sign is enough for a simple wordmark; we redraw it free and thicken any hairlines so they hold on absorbent paper.
Half-wrapped, boxed or bagged: how the sheet behaves
Half-wrapped and served open, as in the second photo, the paper acts as a plate. Grease-resistant or black stock keeps the tabletop and the basket clean under a dripping sub.
Fully rolled and boxed for catering, the wrap keeps each sandwich from sliding and soaking its neighbor. Dry wax holds moisture in, which is what you want for cold cuts and not what you want for a hot panini.
Bagged for delivery, a hot sandwich steams. Leave the end of the roll loose so the vapor escapes and the bread keeps some bite.
Cut in half through the paper and the printed face shows on both halves, which is the shot customers post.
Can sandwich wrap paper double as a basket liner?
Yes, and most sandwich shops do exactly that. A 12 x 15 sheet opened flat lines a rectangular basket or a small tray with the corners turned up.
Use a corner mark or a light repeat if the sheet does double duty, so the logo shows whether the paper is flat under chips or rolled around a sub.
Use one stock for both jobs. Grease-resistant white or kraft is the safe pick when the basket holds fries or chips as well as the sandwich.
- Flat liner under a sandwich and chips
- Roll wrap for takeout and delivery
- Divider between layers in a catering box
- Sheet under a sliced loaf on a bakery counter
Keeping sandwich paper flat and dry in storage
Sandwich wrap arrives as flat sheets in reams, packed in cartons. Reams stay crisp in the carton and curl once they sit loose on a wet counter.
Keep the opened ream in a tray at the make line and the sealed reams in dry storage. Humidity softens dry wax first, and black stock shows water spots.
Every reorder matches the proof on file, so note the quote number on the carton and the next run comes back in the same stock, color and size.
Wrap problems a deli can avoid before ordering
Each of these is visible on the proof, and the proof is free. Tell us what you wrap and how, and we flag the mismatch before you approve anything.
- Ordering 12 x 12 for footlongs and running two sheets per sandwich
- Printing a photographic logo in full color on kraft, which it cannot take
- Using dry wax for cheesesteaks and finding grease rings on every wrap
- Centering a big logo that ends up inside the roll
- Sending a low-resolution logo and getting soft edges on the proof

Sandwich Wrap Paper Questions
The questions we answer most weeks. Pick a topic, open a row.
What size sandwich wrap paper fits a six-inch sub?
12 x 15. It rolls a six-inch with room to twist the ends and also lines a catering box. Use 15 x 15 for footlong halves.
Is dry wax sandwich wrap good for hot sandwiches?
No. Dry wax is for cold and warm holds, so use grease-resistant white or kraft for melts, cheesesteaks and anything with a hot sauce.
Can sandwich wrap paper be printed on black stock?
Yes. Black prints with white ink and hides grease and sauce marks better than any other stock.
Does cream cheese or mayo stick to printed sandwich wrap?
Not on dry wax, which is why it is the stock for bagels and cold cut subs. The printed face is on the outside and never touches the filling.
How many sandwich wraps do I have to order?
1,000 sheets of one stock, size and design per print run. Each extra design is its own run.
Can I close sandwich wrap paper with a sticker?
Yes. A label strip or sticker applied at the counter holds a rolled wrap, as in the first photo. We print the sheet; the label is yours.
How long until printed sandwich wrap paper is delivered?
4 to 6 business days of production after proof approval, then 2 to 3 business days in free tracked transit to your US address.
Do I pay for sandwich wrap paper before it ships?
You pay by invoice after you approve the proof. There is no card checkout on the site.
Can sandwich wrap paper print full color?
On bleached white or grease-resistant white, yes. Kraft and black stocks take spot colors or white ink.
Will fine line art print cleanly on sandwich wrap paper?
Thin lines print well; hairlines soften on absorbent paper, so the proof thickens them a little. Vector files give the cleanest result.
Is sandwich wrap paper delivered to every US state?
Yes. Free tracked delivery covers any US address and we do not ship outside the US.
What if my printed sandwich wrap paper arrives damaged?
Send photos within 10 days of delivery and the run is reprinted or refunded.
