Custom Printed Deli Paper Sizes
Standard sizes carry no cutting charge. Any other size is quoted on request; the deli paper size chart lists what each one wraps.
What custom printed deli paper does on a busy line
Deli paper is the thin sheet that touches the food before anything else does. It wraps a burger, lines a basket, sits under a slice, and separates layers in a clamshell.
Printed with your logo, the same sheet becomes the most seen piece of branding you own. A customer holds it for the whole meal and sees it again in a photo.
Burger counters, sub shops, taquerias, barbecue pits and food trucks all run it. Multi-location groups like it because one print run keeps every store looking the same.
The photos on this page are sample prints and stock patterns. They show what a one-color repeat, a kraft sheet and a centered mark look like in hand, which tells you more than a mockup.
Which stock should your logo go on?
Start with the food, not the artwork. Fried, cheesy and saucy items need grease-resistant stock, because the sheet hides grease spots instead of showing a dark ring through the paper.
Cold cuts, bagels, pastries and anything held warm are fine on dry wax. It has a soft hand, folds without cracking and keeps a cut sandwich from drying out at the counter.
| Stock | Looks like | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Dry wax | Soft, slightly translucent, matte | Cold and warm holds, deli counters, bakery |
| Grease-resistant white | Bright white, firmer fold, hides grease | Burgers, fried chicken, fries, wings |
| Grease-resistant kraft | Tan, matte, hides grease and crumbs | Barbecue, smash burgers, rustic menus |
| Natural kraft | Warm brown, visible fiber | Sandwiches, bakery, one-color prints |
| Bleached white | Clean and bright | Full color and tight Pantone matches |
| Black | Deep matte black | White ink, upscale sandwich and burger concepts |
Full color only prints on white stocks. Kraft and black take spot colors or white ink, and the paper tone shifts every color a little, which the proof shows you before you commit. The deli paper stocks guide compares them in more depth.
Does 12 x 12 or 15 x 15 fit what you serve?
Most burger counters should start with 12 x 12. It closes a single or double on a standard bun with two folds and leaves enough paper to tuck under.
12 x 15 is the sub shop size. The extra three inches run the length of a six-inch sub with room to twist the ends, and it lines a rectangular tray edge to edge.
15 x 15 is for footlongs cut in half, loaded burritos, barbecue plates and baskets that take a full liner. It also makes a tidy half-fold wrap for a thick stacked sandwich.
Custom sizes are quoted on request. If your tray is odd or your bun is oversized, send the measurements and we will suggest a sheet that cuts without waste.
Repeat pattern, corner mark or centered logo
A repeat pattern is the default for a reason. When a sheet is folded around food, nobody controls which part faces out, so a repeat keeps your mark visible on every side.
A corner mark suits basket liners and tray paper. The sheet lies flat, the corner shows, and the rest of the paper stays clean under the food.
A centered logo looks great on the proof and then vanishes under a burger. Use it only for sheets that stay flat, or pair a small center mark with a light repeat behind it.
- Repeat: logo or pattern tiled across the whole sheet, at any angle you like
- Corner mark: one logo in one corner, sized to show above the food line
- Centered logo: one mark in the middle, for flat liners and presentation sheets
You can drop your logo onto a real sheet photo on the Design Your Deli Paper page and see how each layout reads before you ask for a quote.
Spot colors versus full color on deli paper
One spot color is the workhorse. Red on white, blue on kraft or white on black each print clean, run fastest, and read from across the room.
Two or three spot colors let you keep brand colors exact. Send a Pantone number or a printed sample and we match it on the stock you chose.
Full color on white is for photographic artwork, gradients and illustrated patterns. It is not for tiny type: fine lines and hairlines soften on absorbent paper, so the proof thickens them until they hold.
Inks are food-safe soy and water-based and go on the outside face only. The side that touches food stays unprinted.
How does printed deli paper hold up hot, cold or bagged?
Hot and fried: grease-resistant stock keeps the outside clean while a cheeseburger or fried chicken sits in it. Fries steam in a closed bag, so leave the top loose or vent a corner.
Cold and refrigerated: dry wax keeps cut sandwiches from drying out in a display case and does not stick to cheese or mayo. Dry wax covers cold and warm holds and nothing hotter: no oven, no microwave.
Boxed and bagged: a wrapped item in a clamshell holds its shape better and does not slide. The paper takes the sauce, the box stays presentable, and the logo is the first thing seen when the lid opens.
Kraft stocks show less sauce than white when something leaks, which is why barbecue and smash burger places lean toward them.
Packing, storage and reordering the same print
Sheets ship flat, stacked in reams inside a carton, so they pull one at a time at the pass. Keep the cartons off the floor and away from the fryer, and the paper stays flat and dry.
Every run starts at 1,000 sheets of one print. If you want two prints, say a repeat for wrapping and a corner mark for liners, each one is its own run and its own minimum.
- Keep one open carton at the station and the rest sealed
- Note the quote number on the carton so the next order matches
- Reorder when you open the last carton; print and delivery together take up to nine business days
We keep your approved proof on file, so a reorder is a short email and the sheets come back in the same color, stock and size.
Five mistakes first-time deli paper buyers make
Every one of these is caught at the proof stage if you tell us what you serve and how you wrap it. A photo of your current wrap, even a competitor's, helps more than a long description.
- Choosing dry wax for fried food, then finding grease rings on every wrapped burger.
- Sending a screenshot of a logo at phone size and expecting sharp edges on absorbent paper.
- Centering one big logo on a sheet that gets folded into a quarter around a sandwich.
- Ordering 12 x 12 for a footlong sub because it was the size a friend used.
- Approving the proof without checking the Pantone against a printed menu or sign.

Custom Printed Deli Paper Questions
The questions we answer most weeks. Pick a topic, open a row.
What is the minimum order for custom printed deli paper?
One print run is 1,000 sheets of a single stock, size and design. Larger runs are quoted the same way, in writing.
Can I print custom deli paper in full color?
Yes, on bleached white or grease-resistant white stock. Kraft and black take spot colors or white ink instead.
Which deli paper stock hides grease best?
Grease-resistant white or kraft. Both keep the outside of a wrapped burger or basket liner clean where dry wax would show a dark spot.
Is custom printed deli paper safe to touch food?
The inks are food-safe soy and water-based and print on the outside face only, so the side against the food is unprinted.
How long does custom printed deli paper take to arrive?
Allow 4 to 6 business days for production after you approve the proof, then 2 to 3 business days for free tracked delivery anywhere in the US.
Do you ship custom deli paper outside the US?
No. We deliver to US addresses only, free and tracked.
What artwork do I need for custom printed deli paper?
A vector PDF, AI or EPS file is best. A PNG, JPG or even a photo of your sign works for a simple one-color wordmark, which we redraw free.
Can I see a proof before my deli paper is printed?
Yes. Every order gets a free PDF proof on the chosen stock, changes are free, and nothing prints until you approve it in writing.
Can I put custom printed deli paper in the oven?
No. Dry wax is for cold and warm holds only, and none of our stocks are meant for the oven or microwave.
How do I pay for custom printed deli paper?
By invoice after you approve the proof. There is no online checkout or card payment on the site.
What happens if my custom deli paper arrives misprinted?
Email photos inside 10 days of delivery and the run is reprinted or refunded.
Can I order custom deli paper in a size you do not list?
Yes. Custom sizes are quoted on request; send the tray or sandwich measurements and we suggest a sheet that cuts without waste. The deli paper sizes page lists the standard cuts.
