Five guides, each on one decision you make before ordering printed food paper: which stock, which size, how a logo prints, what to send as artwork and how other restaurants use the sheets once they arrive. They are written by the people who proof and print the orders, from the questions that come up on the phone.
None of them is long. Each one is meant to be read on a phone between services.
Which guide should you read first?
Start with stocks if you have never ordered printed food paper, because the stock decides how the sheet behaves around hot and oily food and everything else follows from it. The stocks guide covering dry wax, kraft and black explains each one by how it looks and folds rather than by numbers.
If you already know the stock, go to sizes. If you already use a sheet and want your logo on it, go to printing and artwork.
Picking a size from a guide
The size guide compares 12 x 12, 12 x 15 and 15 x 15 in. against real food: a single burger, a double, a six-inch sub, a footlong and a burrito. The size guide comparing the three main sheets ends with a short list of what to measure before asking for a quote.
The size chart on this site lists every product with its standard cuts and is the quicker reference once you know what you want.
Logo, artwork and the proof
The printing guide explains spot colors, repeats and coverage: why a centered logo vanishes under a burger, how a repeat keeps it visible, and what white ink does on kraft. The guide to printing a logo on deli paper is the one to read before uploading anything.
The artwork guide covers files, line weights and why the proof thickens hairlines. Together they explain most of what a proof shows.
How restaurants use the sheets
The last guide is about what happens after delivery: wrapping, lining, counter service and reorders, with the mistakes kitchens make on a first run. The guide on how restaurants use custom deli paper is worth reading before deciding quantities.
Questions About Our Guides
The questions we answer most weeks. Pick a topic, open a row.
Who writes the deli paper guides?
The team at Deli Papers who proof and print the orders. Each guide comes from questions asked on real quotes.
Are the guides about your own products or deli paper in general?
Both. They explain how deli paper behaves in general, using the stocks and sizes we print as the examples.
Which guide is best for someone who has never ordered printed paper?
The stocks guide. It explains the five stocks by how they look and fold, which makes the rest of the site easier to read.
Does reading a guide replace the proof?
No. The guides explain the choices; the proof is where your size, layout and colors are confirmed before press.
What if a guide does not answer my question?
Ask by phone, WhatsApp or email and we answer within one business day. Good questions tend to become the next guide.
Do you add new guides over time?
Yes, as recurring questions come up on quotes. The guides index shows the newest first.
Are the photos in the guides real sheets?
Yes. They are sample prints and stock patterns from our own press, the same sheets shown on the product pages.
Can I share a guide with my kitchen manager or a franchisee?
Yes. Send the link; the guides are public and need no login.
Is there a guide on delivery times?
No, because the shipping page covers it in a table. Production takes 4–6 business days after approval and delivery 2–3 business days.
Which guide explains what artwork file to send?
The artwork guide. It covers vector files, PNG and JPG, line weights and what the proof does with thin type. The artwork guide on files and proofs is short.
