Help and Frequently Asked Questions
Everything buyers ask us before a first order and after the first delivery, sorted by topic. The answers are short on purpose; every product page and guide goes deeper, and the phone works too.

How do I place an order for custom deli paper?
Send the quote form for custom deli paper, or the proof form on any product page, with your artwork and a quantity. We reply with a written quote and a PDF proof; you approve both in writing and the job goes to press.
Is there a setup or plate charge on a first order?
Any plate or setup cost is itemized on the written quote before you approve anything, so there are no surprises on the invoice. Reorders of the same art reuse the plates.
Can I reorder the same print later without a new proof?
Yes. We keep your art, plates and color match from the first run. Tell us the quantity and we send a fresh quote; a new proof is only needed if something in the art changes.
Can I change the quantity after I approve the proof?
Before plates are made, yes, and we reissue the quote. Once the job is on press the quantity is fixed, though a second run can follow.
Do you print for home cooks or only for businesses?
We print for restaurants, food trucks, caterers, bakeries and other food businesses. The 1,000-sheet minimum and the proofing process are built around a working kitchen.
Which paper stock hides grease stains best?
Natural kraft hides spots best because the brown fiber masks them. Grease-resistant white keeps oil from getting through in the first place, which matters more for delivery.
Can deli paper go in the oven or the microwave?
Dry wax is for cold and warm holds only, not the oven or microwave. If you need a sheet for reheating, tell us how it will be used and we will say what is suitable on the quote.
Is black deli paper the same stock as the white sheets?
No. Black is a solid-colored sheet on a grease-resistant base, printed with white ink or light accent colors. It folds a little firmer than dry wax.
Does kraft deli paper feel different from bleached white?
Yes. Kraft is slightly rougher with visible fiber and a warm tone; bleached white is smoother and shows color true. Both come with a grease-resistant option.
Which stock should a bakery use for cookies and bread?
Dry wax for cookies and pastries sold the same day, and a wax paper bag or kraft sheet for bread. Butter-heavy items that sit longer do better on grease-resistant.
How many ink colors can one sheet carry?
Up to three spot colors on any of the five stocks, or full color on bleached white and grease-resistant white. White ink prints on kraft and black.
Why is only one side of the sheet printed?
Because the other side touches the food. We print on the outside face with food-safe soy and water-based inks and leave the food-contact side unprinted.
Why does the proof make my thin lines thicker?
Fine type and hairlines soften and fill in on absorbent paper. The proof thickens them slightly so they print cleanly, and it tells you where that was done.
Can you print my logo as a repeat pattern instead of a single mark?
Yes, and for a wrap it is usually the better choice. A repeat keeps part of the logo visible on every fold; the proof shows the spacing in inches.
Will white ink on kraft look bright or muted?
Slightly muted, because the brown shows through a little. On black it reads brighter. The proof is drawn to show the real effect, and a swatch pack settles it.
Where does Deli Papers deliver printed sheets?
To any US address, free and tracked, usually in 2–3 business days after the cases leave us. We do not ship outside the US.
How are the printed sheets packed for delivery?
Counted into cases, sealed and labeled with the product, size and count. Larger orders go out on a pallet.
What should I do if I need the paper by a set date?
Put the date on the quote form. We say on the quote whether production and delivery can meet it before you approve anything.
Can I track the cases once they leave?
Yes. You get a tracking link by email the day the order ships, and the link updates until the cases are signed for.
What if the case count looks short when the order arrives?
Check the case labels against the packing note first, then email us within 10 days with photos. We make up any shortfall or credit it.
